Support

Help for imports, recording, and ride data.

Velolytica is built around local files and on-device analysis. Most issues come down to file format, permissions, or duplicate ride archives.

Supported import sources

  • FIT ride files from cycling head units.
  • GPX and TCX ride files.
  • Gzipped ride files with .fit.gz, .gpx.gz, or .tcx.gz extensions.
  • ZIP archives containing ride files, including Strava bulk exports.
  • Apple Health cycling workouts, after you grant iOS permission.

Import tips

  • Use the iOS share sheet to open ride files in Velolytica.
  • For Strava exports, import the full ZIP archive instead of extracting one file at a time.
  • Duplicate rides are detected from the underlying ride data, so compressed and uncompressed copies should not create repeated history.
  • Runs, hikes, and e-bike files may appear in the library but are excluded from cycling aggregates when identified as non-cycling activities.

Apple Health

Health imports require permission through the iOS Health prompt. If rides do not appear, check Health permissions for Velolytica in the Settings app and confirm the workouts are cycling workouts.

Recording

For phone-based recording, grant location permission when prompted. Sensor readings such as power, cadence, and heart rate depend on compatible Bluetooth devices and iOS Bluetooth permission.
